Plenary Council of Ministers in the morning of Jan 24, Prime Minister declared that for a new established Tbong Khmum province, government decided to request a royal knowledge from the King to appoint H.E. Prach Chan, as provincial governor of Tbong Khmum who is currently as Battambang governor while H.E. Chan Sophal, current Chairman of Siem Reap province, will be appointed as the governor of Battambang province instead of H.E. Prach Chan.In parallel with the preparation, Sam Dech Hun Sen also recommend to all relevant ministries and institutions organize and structure working system of their departments in this new level of both provinces. He also introduced to the provincial board of governors of Kampongcham must continue to work as usual in its management domain of the two provinces until council and governor of Tbong Khmum officially took office.
